Welcome to Camp Onomia!Our MissionWe are a Lutheran Outdoor Ministry providing for people of all ages an opportunity to experience God's grace. Camp Onomia is an outdoor ministry of Lutheran congregations and exists to provide spiritual renewal for all ages through the Gospel of Jesus Christ. Camp Onomia is owned by 53 Lutheran churches. Surrounded by 10,000 acres of wilderness and lakes, this modern residen tial setting is located on Shakopee Lake near Onamia Minnesota. In a caring community, campers and staff encounter scripture, share with one another, experience nature, explore diverse cultures in our world and society, and have an opportunity to participate in a wide variety of stimulating recreational activities which include water sports, athletics, creative arts, field trips, service projects, and outdoor living skills. Onomia is a place away to gather, relax, renew, and find yourself and others.Camp Onomia is operated in accordance with the U.S. Department of Agriculture policy which does not permit discrimination because of race, color, sex, age, handicap, or origin. We pledge to uphold a standard of health and safety that will assure campers a quality, Christ-centered experience.
